who we are
Kibbutz Holit is a small kibbutz in the south, near the Gaza strip.
On that horrible Sabbath, terrorists infiltrated Holit, murdered 13 of his members and 4 foreign workers and reservists.
4 kibbutz workers from the Bedouin sector, and 2 residents were kidnapped and taken as hostages to Gaza.
The kibbutz was left in ruins.
The remaining members of the kibbutz were evacuated, half went to Kibbutz Revivim,
And half went to stay at one multi-story building in Rehovot. The children of Kibbutz Holit who were evacuated to Rehovot joined the education system in the nearby Kibbutz Netzer Sereni .
Kibbutz Netzer Sereni is located in the lowlands. Established in 1948 by a group of Holocaust survivors from the Buchenwald camp. It was named after Enzo Sereni, one of the Jewish paratroopers of the British Mandate, who parachuted in Europe during World War II.
